Overview

The Junior Museum Program at the Florence Indian Mound Museum is a free, hands-on educational experience for students ages 12-18.

This program offers students the opportunity to work alongside museum professionals, gaining insight into the operations of museums and historic sites. Participants will explore how history is researched, written, and interpreted. Through collaborative projects, students will design and create an exhibit at a Florence Arts and Museums site. By the end of the program, students will have developed valuable skills in research, critical thinking, collections management, artifact curation, and exhibit design.
