Community Groups at Kennedy-Douglass

The beautiful 1890 Queen Ann Victorian home situated next door to the Kennedy-Douglass Main House was donated to the city of Florence in 2006 by the Southall family who had owned the house for generations. Over the years, the Alabama State Council on the Arts and the City of Florence have provided endowments for restoration, renovation, and landscaping.

Today, the Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts hosts community gatherings, workshops, and art classes in what is now known as the Southall-Moore House.
