The Florence Indian Mound Museum, in partnership with the Tennessee Valley Authority, is sponsoring a virtual speaker series as a part of an effort to raise awareness about looting in the Shoals area. The Shoals Archaeological Stewardship Virtual Speaker Series will feature a different presentation each month from March through October. The September presentation will feature representatives from the Seminole Nation who will be talking about tribal perspectives on looting v. collecting. This program is free and is part of the Thousand Eyes Program initiative to stop the looting of archaeological sites in the Shoals. It is sponsored by the City of Florence Department of Arts and Museums and the Tennessee Valley Authority. The Florence Indian Mound Museum is located at 1028 S.
