Hayes G T Ellis is the first speaker in this series, and the topic is “Early Peopling sites of North and South America,” ending with Paleo complexes including Gault . About Hayes: I have been an avid student of archaeology for 47 years focusing on peopling of the “New World”. My experiences include five archaeologist led digs, the longest of which lasting 9 weeks in 1980. In 1997 my focus area became Pre-Clovis and lately the naming of Pre-Clovis to Western Stemmed tradition. I was in the Army 26 Years 10 months 14 days, getting my start in the Haleyville Signal Detachment in the Alabama National Guard and completing with 5 tours overseas with the Field Artillery finally retiring as Lieutenant Colonel in 2012. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography with a minor in Military History. I continue in depth study of North American Peopling Genetics, oldest site reports from Meadow Craft, Blue Fish caves, dust cave, and latest new discoveries of Paleo / Pre-Paleo studies.
