Beginning Wheel Throwing Workshop
with Aaron Benson at Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts
The Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts is pleased to present the opportunity to participate in a “Beginning Wheel Throwing” workshop with UNA Art Professor, Coordinator of Ceramics and Sculpture, Aaron Benson. Join us for this three-day class, designed as an introduction to the pottery wheel. The instructor will walk you through the entire process of making wheel thrown vessels. Participants will learn the unique steps in the throwing process and create one of a kind thrown vessels. Learn to design, create, and decorate your own ceramic wheel thrown forms!
Workshop schedule:
• Fri., Aug. 4th: 9 am-3 pm (including 1 hr. lunch break)
• Sat., Aug. 5th: 9 am-3 pm (including 1 hr. lunch break)
• Sun., Aug. 6th: Noon-3 pm
Workshop cost: $195 (cash or check to Kennedy-Douglass Volunteers).
